Steel and aluminium panels are segregated for metal recovery; timber frames are sent for biomass processing, and hinges or rollers are stripped for parts. No landfill fees are passed on to you. All new doors include at least a five-year manufacturer warranty; sectional or roller doors fitted with our operators carry a ten-year parts-and-labour warranty. The door warranty covers panel integrity, springs, tracks and factory paint finish. Automation cover includes the motor, control board, handsets and safety sensors. Yes, you need to clear the garage. It needs to be at least 7 feet wide into the garage to 7ft depth clearance from opening into the garage.

This is for safety reasons, and also for ease of access for our technicians to get in and out of the garage with equipment.

Yes — please clear at least 7 ft (2.1 m) of width and 7 ft of depth directly behind the opening so our technicians can work safely. Removing bikes, storage boxes and shelving from that area lets us position ladders, unbox the new door and swing it into place without risk to your belongings. Most domestic garage-door installations are completed within 2 to 6 hours, depending on door type, opening size and whether an electric operator is fitted.

• Single up-and-over or roller doors: usually 2–3 hours.

• Sectional or double doors: allow 4–6 hours for accurate levelling and sealing.

• Adding an electric opener, safety sensors and programming remotes adds about 45 minutes.

Written quotations stay firm for 30 days from the issue date. The price covers removal of the old door, professional installation, VAT and disposal. You can pay the deposit by BACS, debit card or credit card, and settle the balance by debit card on completion.

All payments are processed in GBP. Larger projects (multiple doors or gates) can be split into staged payments: 50 % deposit to secure manufacture, 40 % on installation day and 10 % after final sign-off. Speak to accounts when you book your survey.

Many up-and-over or sectional doors can be motorised once balance, track condition and headroom have been inspected. If suitable, we fit approved motor kits with manual release and a 10-year parts-and-labour warranty on sectional or roller doors; discuss compatibility during your free survey.

Replace the coin-cell battery (usually CR2032); if the remote still fails, hold the motor’s learn button until the indicator flashes, then press the remote for three seconds to re-pair. Should the door remain inactive, pull the emergency-release cord to operate it manually and book a same-day repair.

For typical home use an annual service keeps the motor, curtain balance, safety sensors and battery in good condition; high-use or commercial shutters may need attention every six months to stay PUWER 1998 compliant—contact us to schedule a service.
